For Theatre Science Show(s):

• Participants are required to register online.
• Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• During the online registration process, participants must select specific time slot(s).
• Successful applicants will receive a QR code, which will be required for access.
• A few walk-in spots may be available.

For Family Science Workshop(s):

• Participants are required to register online.
• Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• During the online registration process, participants must select specific time slot(s).
• Successful applicants will receive a QR code, which will be required for access.
• Successful applicants will receive a message via WhatsApp to re-confirm their attendance about 10 days prior to the event to secure their seats, failure to re-confirm the attendance will lead to a withdrawal of spots. The organiser reserves the right to allocate spots to individuals on the waiting list without prior notice.

For Hands-on Science Booth(s):

• Participants do not require any prior registration. However, since the booths are located within the paid area of the Hong Kong Science Museum’s exhibition hall, an admission ticket will be required to enter the exhibition area.
• According to the Hong Kong Science Museum’s website, Adults must possess an admission ticket to enter the exhibition hall. Admission to the permanent exhibition of the museum is free for full-time students carrying a valid document and children under 4 years old when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Yes, the JC CoolScience Carnival is free to attend. Participants who have successfully registered online for the Theatre Science Shows or the Family Science Workshops can redeem a complimentary museum ticket (valid on the same day only) on the event day by presenting the QR Code at the redemption counter. Redemption counter is located at the opposite of the Entrance of the paid area, in front of a glass door. The museum ticket provides entry to the Hong Kong Science Museum’s exhibition hall, where they can visit the Hands-on Science Booth(s). In case of disputes, the Organiser reserves the right of final decision.

The event is suitable for families with children aged 5-11. For educational and safety reasons, there will be recommended age ranges for specific activities. You may refer to the programme page for details. We encourage parents to consider these recommendations to ensure the best experience for all participants.

No, children must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian during any of the activities.

Each parent can register one child for the Family Science Workshops and up to three children or participants for the Theatre Science Shows.
